Bedtime Read and Rhyme Bible Stories by Bonnie Rickner Jensen, Illustrated by Robert Dunn10/19/2016 Bedtime is a wonderful time to read from the Bible to your children. With over 90 stories from the Bible, this rhyming collection allows your child to understand God's word. The rhymes are fun yet well- constructed to convey God's love for all. This collection of Bible stories has a gorgeous cover which features Noah's ark floating on the flood waters at night. The illustration is whimsical, showing two monkeys dangling from the side of the ark, trying to catch a leaping fish. As for the content, there are a wide variety of Bible stories with children favorites such as Noah's ark, and David and Goliath as well as less favorites such as Ruth and Boaz and Paul's letters from prison. All of the stories are told using rhyme as it’s suggested by the title. My daughter loves this book. My son loves the pictures but only sits for a story or two. My daughter gets involved in the rhymes and loves the illustrations. The great part is that she listens and asks questions. I feel that this is a great way to get our children involved. I would recommend this book to Christian families wishing to raise their children in their faith. I received my copy of this book from booklookbloggers.com and through them have permission to use the cover artwork above. God loves us. Each and every one of us. If we look, we can see God’s love all around us. The classic images of Precious Moments artwork and Bible scriptures proclaiming His love and a wonderful way to teach your children about God’s unending, unwavering love for us. This is an adorable book for your little girl. The entire book is highlighted in a delicate pink. The cover is cushioned, featuring a little boy holding up a bouquet of flowers. There is also a cute little puppy standing in front of him with a butterfly on his nose. Three more butterflies and a number of little pink hearts float through the air and around the book’s title. I think this is adorable. The poems inside are cute and simple, easy for young children to understand and follow. Some of the poems are recognizable as children’s songs, some of which I grew up singing myself. These songs are still included in religious and nonreligious children’s CD's. The prayers are also easy to understand, straight forward, and they rhyme, same as the poems. I like how they have included prayers for different events and different times throughout the day. The length and the fact that they rhyme make them easy for my daughter to repeat after me and help her to remember them when she wants to say them on her own. I also like how they have included small bits of scripture that help to show what the Bible really tells us about God’s love for us and how we should love those around us. Seeing Precious Moments artwork again was a real treat for me. I loved the Precious Moments when I was a child and seeing how my daughter loves them too is amazing. I would recommend this cute collection of poems to families with little girls who love to sing and rhyme, or to anyone looking for a link back to their own childhood.
